The organization "Together for Life" seeks to hire a health program manager, who will be responsible for the overall direction, development and coordination of the health program implemented by TFL. The manager reports directly to the Executive Director. He/she works closely with the finance department and the rest of the staff in management positions.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Direct responsibility for the overall progress of the health program implemented by TFL and maintains correct communications with the donors of this program.
- Coordinates and supervises the quality implementation of the health program/projects of the organization and follows, as necessary, the relevant activities of this program.
- Supervises the staff that is engaged in implementing projects in the field of health and ensures that the rules and standards established by the donor are correctly followed.
- Ensures that the health program/projects achieve the objectives and expected results.
- Ensures timely and quality preparation of intermediate/final reports requested by donors.
- Delegates tasks to project coordinators, ensuring appropriate division of tasks.
- Actively engages in writing project proposals related to the field of health.
- Participates in the process of recruiting experts/staff to be engaged in the health program/projects, as needed.
- Represents TFL in meetings with various government institutions, as well as in activities of the partners or donors.
- Other duties that may be assigned by the Executive Director.
Required qualifications and skills:
- University degree in public health, social science or other related fields. (Preference will be given to candidates with a Master's degree).
- Very good knowledge of the health system and health policies in the country.
- At least 3 years of experience in writing and managing projects in the field of health nearby public institutions or civil society organizations.
- Very good communication, organizational, planning and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to perform well even in situations that may cause pressure.
- Ability to work in a team.
- High proficient in spoken and written English. Knowledge of a second EU language will be considered an advantage.
- Good time management and prioritization skills.
- Flexibility to travel outside Tirana.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite.
