Following the #16Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, one of the most special and long-awaited activities was organized with the youth of Lezhe.
The performance of the street theater performed in the premises of the Lezhe Children's Cultural Center, strongly expressed through body language and carefully selected interpretation details, captured the attention of all those present.
Conceived in three different everyday scenarios on the topic of gender-based violence and its challenges, deep messages on respect, gender equality and solidarity were disseminated.
As a closure, the banners created by the youngsters themselves inspired us with strong messages against gender-based violence and domestic violence!
Also, the participants were invited to take pictures in the frame placed in the outdoor space of the city Library under the global slogan “Invest to prevent violence against women and girls”.
This activity followed the Open Forum entitled “Empowering Women - Empowering the Community”, organized by the “Different and Equal” Organization in the premises of the city Library with representatives from local decision-makers, civil society and members of Lezhe community.
The activity is part of the “Improving Community Resilience” programme, funded by USAID and implemented by UNDP Albania in cooperation with Lezha Municipality and Different & Equal, Together for Life and Initiative for Social Change, ARSIS.
