Title of Project: VIOLET - Towards workplaces without sexual harassment and violence

Goal: The project aims to contribute to safe working environment without sexual harassment.
The project addresses sexual harassment and workplace violence through an integrated approach that combines situational analysis, targeted interventions, case response, and awareness-raising and communication activities.

Specific objectives:
- Enhance capacities of NEBs to tackle SH and upscale impact of their work.
- Increase understanding to prevalence of SH at the workplace including risk factors, barriers to reporting and prevention practices at the workplaces.
- Increase safety at workplaces through preventive measures implemented at organisational level.
- Increase effectivity of national policies and cooperation of key actors.
- Strengthen legal protection from SH at the workplace.
Results
- Variety of professionals working in prevention of SH and/or protection of victim's rights will develop their professional capacity.
- NEBs will have access to up-to-date findings about SH as a form of discrimination that will be used within the mandate of NEBs and NHRIs.
- Project will increase cooperation of stakeholders to address SH on national levels: labour inspectorates, trade unions, equality bodies, repr. of employers and repr. of employees including ppl with disabilities, queer community, ethnic and national minorities etc.
- Project will initiate and nurture systemic changes within organisations by implementation of preventive measures.
- Project will bring about impact on the systemic level also by assessment and evaluation of legal framework.
- Project will increase awareness of the public by targeted communication campaigns on national levels.
- The project will contribute to increased level of reporting.
- Integration of prevention programmes into the regular activities of equality bodies.
- Supporting legal reforms in accordance with European Union and International Labour Organization (ILO) standards.
Long-term impact
- Promoting sustainable and lasting institutional change through the implementation of codes of conduct and protective mechanisms.
- Strengthening the implementation of national and EU legislation.
- Development of sustainable training and awareness-raising tools.
- Promoting a zero-tolerance approach to sexual harassment in the workplace.
- Improving the safety and well-being of employees.
