Aim:
To contribute to increasing the budgetary transparency of Kukës Municipality by strengthening the monitoring role of non-public local actors in the municipality’s budgetary processes.
ACHIEVED RESULTS:
- Improved budgetary transparency of Kukës Municipality in accordance with the obligations set forth in the existing legal framework.
- Strengthened cooperation between public and non-public local actors who can be involved in monitoring the transparency program at the local level.
- 20 local public and non-public actors participated in the project’s introductory meeting.
- Preparation and publication of a monitoring report on the implementation of the Kukës Municipality’s annual budget.
- 25 key local public and non-public actors participated in the roundtable to present the findings of the monitoring report.
- Increased community awareness on the key findings and recommendations of the monitoring report through the distribution of a press release to local and national media.
- Increased awareness and capacity of non-public local actors regarding the role they should play in the planning and monitoring process of their municipality's budget.
