Together for Life is continuing the trainings with journalists with the aim of increasing capacities in the field of gender equality, with a special focus on gender reporting in elections. Supported by UN Women Albania, these initiatives contribute to building a more informed and inclusive media landscape.
This time we stopped in Durres with our team of experts, where Mrs. Valbona Sulce and Mrs. Alma Lahe shared important information, focusing on topics such as:
- The amendment of the law on audiovisual media regarding sexism - What do we need to know?
- The production of gender-focused articles - The 4 principles of gender-based journalism.
- Disinformation, online threats and bullying towards politicians.
- Albanian and European legislation.
- Gender equality gap in Albania, etc.
The meeting was accompanied by discussions where journalists shared their reporting experiences during the election campaign. They emphasized that in this campaign, there were the leaders of political parties who took responsibility for organizing the campaign, while the respective candidates, including female candidates, were left under the background.
