Brief description of the organization
The Together for Life (TFL) organization was founded in 2009. It initially started with projects in investigative journalism. Seeing the impact, it further aimed to have a greater impact on the progress of change in Albania in the field of human rights. Its main focus is health.
‘Together for Life’ in cooperation with BIRN Albania is implementing the project “Fight against misinformation and increase transparency and accountability in the health sector”, with the support of the British Embassy in Tirana.
The aim of the project is to contribute to a transparent and accountable health system especially in the form of how the government and health institutions deal with the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the points of the project is to provide recommendations for improving access to health services for women, men, as well as gender and sexual minorities.
For this purpose the project aims to realize some technical briefs.
Post description
The expert will be responsible for conducting a technical brief on the topics discussed, which aim to increase access to health services, especially for vulnerable groups. He / she will discuss in collaboration with the project coordinator and will undertake research and make recommendations for improvement.
The expert has the responsibility to defend the recommendations given to the parliamentary committee if required.
Duties and responsibilities:
-Develop a technical brief that aim to increase access to health care for vulnerable groups with a special focus on reproductive health.
Qualifications and experience
The expert must have:
- University Degree of Master Level (doctorate and postgraduate qualifications are preferred);
- To know well the functioning and organization of the Albanian health system;
- Experience in designing similar modules;
- Sensitivity to different contexts and situations with open access to diversity;
