The “Leadership is for EveryOne” project, an initiative funded by the Erasmus+ program, is dedicated to advancing women’s leadership, promoting gender equality, and enhancing labor market inclusivity. As part of its multifaceted approach, the project implemented an internship program, targeting young women with the aim of improving their employability skills.

The internship program was crafted to provide a tangible platform for 5 selected women from each partner country to immerse themselves in the professional environment of local organizations. The program spanned two months, wherein interns were assigned to either C7 Integrated Communication Systems or the “Shëndet+” newspaper—both of which committed to nurturing an inclusive workplace culture.

Internship Experiences

C7 Integrated Communication Systems: Interns at C7 Integrated Communication Systems, an innovative branch of the Albanian MTSC editorial group, have reported enriching experiences that significantly enhanced their professional development. The opportunity to engage in project management and team collaboration provided them with essential skills in the IT sector. Interns engaged with cutting-edge technologies and projects in web development and graphic design, mentored by industry experts.

Participants particularly highlighted the value of applying academic knowledge to practical setting, stating that the hands-on experience gained at C7 was perfectly in line with their Information Technology and Communication studies.

The internship program appears to have successfully bridged the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, endowing interns with a comprehensive understanding of smart systems and their implementation in enhancing services across various social, economic, and cultural sectors.

“Shëndet+” Newspaper:

The interns at “Shëndet+” newspaper has had an enriching and comprehensive experience that has significantly bridged the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application, particularly in the domain of public health.

Interns were absorbed into the fast-paced world of health journalism, enabling them to learn firsthand the dynamics of newsgathering, reporting, and the ethical dimensions of health communication.

They learned to source accurate information diligently and convey complex health topics to the public in an accessible manner. Skills in digital content creation, such as infographic design and video editing, were particularly emphasized, given their importance in the modern media landscape.
