The first training with non-public actors of the Municipality of Kukës has been successfully completed. The main goal of the training was to enhance these actors understanding of best practices for proactively engaging in the process of monitoring budget transparency at the local level, as well as to equip them with effective methods for fulfilling their oversight responsibilities. A total of 20 non-public actors were part of the training, including representatives from civil society organizations, media, businesses, and various interest groups etc.
This activity is implemented in the framework of the project “Citizens First: Together for a Transparent Local Government!”, implemented by the association “Together for Life,” with support from the grant scheme "BAT Civil Society", implemented by the Institute for Democracy and Mediation in partnership with Faktoje and the Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM), funded by the European Union in Albania.
