We are glad to inform you that we are officially starting the new project “Leadership for everyone” co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
This project will be implemented in cooperation with 4 partner organizations from Italy (High on Life), Albania Together for Life Association, Lithuania Active Youth Projects, Bosnia-Hercegovina BRAVO – Bosnian Representative Association for Valuable Opportunities
The kick-off meeting of the project was held in Italy. In the kickoff meeting the consortium representatives discussed in details the work-packages: Activities, Preparation and Implementation, Tasks for each partner, Dissemination. We revised the action plan and planned the mobility activities, trainings and multiplier events, discussed about the communication strategy and how we would have the internal communication (mails, videoconference, shared platforms) website, social media, etc. Also, we discussed about the administrative & financial management of the project.
The face-to-face meeting improved the partnership and the relations between all the partners. Each partner presented and discussed its work with the others, and during the kick-off each brought its own experience. The implementation of the activities, previous experiences, how to face the problems that may rise during the implementation were in the focus of the discussions. The interaction was great.
Goals of the project
Women economic empowerment is an essential asset to achieve gender equality. However, in most countries, worldwide men outnumber women in leadership positions in every sector globally, including business, non-profits, government, education, medicine, the military, and religion. This gender gap, often referred to with the metaphor “glass ceiling”, represents one of the most critical challenges to achieve gender equity and allow equitable working opportunities to all genders. Given the urgency of achieving gender equity, which encompasses promoting women leadership and including men in the process, the capacity-building project LEO – Leadership is for Everyone was created. The project aims to enhance women’s leadership, develop NFE resources for youth workers and young people, promote men’s involvement in women’s empowerment, and strengthen the synergies between youth work and the labour market. This aim will be achieved through a wide range of single-sex and mixed activities (job-shadowing, internship programme, workshops, e-course, and more) for young women and men.
