19 mars 2019 – March 19, 2019 - The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands reopened its doors to successful women entrepreneurs. In cooperation with Together for Life, the fair "Women in Business" was organized, which was attended by 45 women entrepreneurs from all over the country.
The event brought together initiatives of social businesses, civil society, women entrepreneurs from rural areas, Roma and Egyptian communities, women serving prison sentences, etc.
The event was greeted by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Her Excellency Guusje Korthals Altes, who stressed that the economic empowerment of women is one of their priorities.
Almost half a year ago, together with Together for Life we organized for the first time the fair "Women in Business" and all those present told us that not only was it a very nice event, but also a very good business day .
"I see that today you are more in number, which means that this fair is really to do business. It is very good to see that most of you who are here, are not only to sell products but also to share experiences with others. "We, like the whole of the Netherlands, believe in the power that women and men have when working for a world of gender equality."
MP Eglantina Gjermeni, a very strong voice in Parliament for the empowerment of women, also shared a message with those present.
"Economic empowerment of women, their employment, getting women out of poverty, is an open challenge for all of us. Therefore, your contribution as women entrepreneurs is valuable and a lesson for all of us, to all together empower as many women as possible, as a prevention strategy for domestic violence or trafficking problems.

Eglantina Bardhi, director of the Together for Life association, also stressed the importance of women's economic empowerment.
"To empower a woman economically means to empower a family. "A special importance has been given to women entrepreneurs who come from rural areas, Roma and Egyptian women, women who are serving sentences, but have already started a business with their handicrafts."
Throughout the event, women entrepreneurs, organized in a fair, presented their products, as well as shared personal experiences, thus using the opportunity to create collaborative networks aimed at their economic empowerment.
The fair was visited by about 300 visitors, who also purchased products of these businesses.
