Since January, 2021, TFL is implementing in Albania the project “Reintegration of the Returnees by increasing access to health care and improving their health”, funded from the GIZ.
“Together for Life” organization aim to protect of the returnees from further deterioration of their health, age, gender and diversity, equity in access to health care, sustainability of the action and community empowerment to advocate for better health care. People with a chronic disease have a reduced working capacity and opportunity in Albania. Staying at home and not contributing to the household finances, increases the financial burden for their families and communities. Through integrated approaches, the project will address health care issues of the returnees that are declared as obstacles for their reintegration into society and will support their integration.
The project is conceptualized in two phases that proceed in parallel:
Firstly, to identify health-related factors and barriers faced by the returnees are identified and brought to the attention of the respective institutions.
Secondly, to increase the access to basic health care and psychosocial services up to 30 returnees.
