{"id":32851,"date":"2024-05-27T15:54:41","date_gmt":"2024-05-27T13:54:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.togetherforlife.org.al\/?p=32851"},"modified":"2024-05-27T15:54:41","modified_gmt":"2024-05-27T13:54:41","slug":"takimi-i-gjashte-konsultues-pak-dhe-persona-me-problematika-social-ekonomike-ne-vaun-e-dejes-dialogojne-me-vendimmarresit-lokale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.togetherforlife.org.al\/en\/takimi-i-gjashte-konsultues-pak-dhe-persona-me-problematika-social-ekonomike-ne-vaun-e-dejes-dialogojne-me-vendimmarresit-lokale\/","title":{"rendered":"The sixth consultative meeting, people with disabilities and those facing socio-economic issues in Vau i Dejes, discuss with the Mayor of the Municipal Council"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The sixth consultative meeting was held with the target group of persons with disabilities and members of the community facing social-economic issues, as well as the Mayor of the Municipal Council and the Director of Social Services in the Municipality of Vau i Dejes.<\/p>\n<p>The main focus of the meeting was the identification of priority problems and challenges that this target group faces, the discussion of issues related to the strengths and weaknesses of local governance, as well as the increase of cooperation between the parties to promote citizen participation, transparency and inclusion. in decision-making processes, for the benefit of addressing and solving key problems through constructive dialogue.<\/p>\n<p>Among the most priority issues that were highlighted during the discussion, were related to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Barriers faced by persons with disabilities, including insufficient access to public institutions and limited access to essential services. The need for stronger support systems and infrastructure improvements was highlighted.<\/li>\n<li>The daily struggle with financial difficulties and unemployment, which hinders quality living and civic involvement. There is an urgent need for initiatives to create new and suitable jobs and support initiatives to improve economic conditions in the area.<\/li>\n<li>The need to increase quality and comprehensive services, in accordance with the needs of all citizens, especially those from more vulnerable groups such as people with disability.<\/li>\n<li>The need to create advisory committees that include representatives from different community groups and advocate at the central level, ensuring that policies reflect the needs of all citizens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On the other hand, the present decision-makers emphasized that, of course, the work to improve the weaknesses and strengthen local policies is continuing, and especially the vulnerable target groups are a priority of the Municipality, but there is a need to increase financial capacities. Increasing civic participation was also identified as a key area for improvement.
